A few days ago my Facebook status was, Dya Hashim feels like reading a James Patterson. So I was pretty excited when I found The Quickie and Ive been burying myself with it.He has been my favourite thriller author since I discovered his books a few years ago.

Couldnt be any more accurate! I am truly a fan of Reading A book on the Bed until I Sleep. I think that a book is my favurite non-human sleeping companion besides my hp. Heh.

Oh and tadi went to Arnolds with Shaz. YUM2! I love their famous chicken. Potato platter ( waffle-shaped fries + wedges + crispy potato chips) dipped with melted cheese was superb. Shaz didnt like the potato chips so I ate them all.I wanted to order Ice Kacang (pon sedap jugak) but Shaz tk suke sgt.. the kacang. U know how she ordered Ice Kacang in school?
One ice kacang without kacang, pls.

Last Saturday was a mini bdae celebration for Nin’s 20th birthday. We have been postponing our meet-up week by week but Im glad that we managed to do so on the day she turned twentyy.

Birthday girl looked good in royal green top (nina!it compliments your skin perfectly!), straight-cut black pants and a pair of  sexy Oxford heels.( I blogged about my love at first sight on Oxford heels probably a year ago and seeing Nina with them reignites my lurvve, I am ever so tempted to buy them, now I just need somone to tell me I look hot in them and Im off to Bugis, anyone wants to offer a compiment? )

Oh and I hated my Cotton On dress ( 10 bucks nye, hmph)on that day, I looked fat! Boo hoo.

Shaz and I made a last-minute present shopping for Nina and shopping for ourselves( we got a matching satin dress!) the day before. We gave something impractical but it should be useful 6 years from now kn Nina?

The next day we met up at Orchard along with Eel and Liy. Shaz and I were to tired to jln2, both of us had tuition in the morning.( I have this love-hate relationship with Orchard shopping belt area, its one endless stretch and walking there needs tons of energy) So  bought  drinks from Starbucks, no empty seat so we headed to the nearest McD and lepak there.

After that, we went shopping at Far East for hours. I saw a couple of nice sandals and shoes, tried them on and put them back. Haha. I ended up buying red and cream belts and a lovely pink (again) top. After feeling guilty (of spending my money)and happy ( more clothes! more belts!) and tired, we headed home.

And the next paycheck goes to:

A pair of jeans and a peachy-pinky Loreal ligloss.( I have a  yellow skin tone which means I have very limited colour options, looks like I have to stick to peachy colours for the rest of my life)

Seriously kene beli more pants seh Daya!

He is going to balek kampong Yishun soon.

I cant hardly wait because it feels like ages since…

p/s: Im still hesitant to share a bed with a yellow fury bear , Im just not one of those stuff toys cuddlers, you know? Im a bantal busuk cuddler. But dont worry, I put Pooh Bear on top of a pile of my home- clothes. He seems to be very comfortable there.

Anyway, the definition of swine is:

And if you are really hating someone right now, the word swine could be useful.

I wanted to re-insert the last picture after I cropped it but I guess I hit the delete button instead of the edit button. No way Im going to retype the whole entry again coz its going to take ages to do it.

We set the date and Nurin pn join skali. 

My pan grilled fish pasta.  Their root beer fish and chips. Really, root beer.  Weird gile seh the taste. I could really taste the root beer, this gas-ey and air-ish rootbeer inside my mouth after muching the fries and fish.

Halfway through the meal, I was already full (and my sedap gile Ice Choc dabes because sedap sgt) but tknk waste2. So I stop2 kejap to dgr2 dorg nye story, ketawe2, den smbong mkn. Kenyang!

So I was quite surpised when Ela asked the waiter to serve the dessert.

I went, Dessert? Tk kenyang ke?

While waiting for the dessert, we ape lagi kn, posing2 ah.

Little did I know they were actually tring to distract me from looking behind because….

I was super stunned and embarrassed at the same.  I actually went ”huh” for 15 seconds before realising it was my birthday!  The ‘dessert’ was actually a birthday cake for me! Everyone was looking at us and the waiter even sang a birthday song.Paisey paisey.

The cake was really pink (and delicious! too bad I was already full or I would have enjoyed it even more), as you can see. And at 20 years old, I blew candles on a birthday cake for the very first time.

I wanted to take this home, it has my name on it but I couldnt.

While I was eating the cake, Nurin excused herself….

She was up to something again!

I couldnt wait to open the present..

But poor me had to finish the cake first. Every bit of it.

My shopaholic-themed card was adorable. It says, ” Birthday Girl, you know you’re a shopaholic when you dont want to see one or two shops… you want to see the whole mall!” And they added in brackets, That is so you, babe!

And apparently that wasnt the only thing that they tambah2, they even added their fantasized last name. Ela Brown for this loyal Chris Brown fan and Nurin Khan for the bollywood fanatic. Iyekan aje eh!

A new blog. So here I am.

Ehem2.

Been spending time with my best girlfriends. Nothing beats bitching away while indulging some sinful gastronomical pleasures with my babes.. especially having a week or two of school break left. I am soo not ready for school stress!

Anyway, I promised Ela to update my blog (ok so I took one step further by having a new blog,heh) once she sent the pictures of us camwhoring at VivoCity. Apparently, she has a new dslr and kemarok to snap pictures away. Impromptu date it was, I still managed to dress lawa2. Hehe.

I used to be intimidated with DSLR, I have never tried using them at all. But I tried to take some pictures and it turned out pretty ok for a newbie!

 Our day ended with a stroll at Esplanade and watching a live band performance. They sounded awesome, the guitarist could really sing  and the female lead singer wore a hot red leopard pants which used to be her dad’s.

 That was around 3 weeks ago.

The following week I watched Confessions of  a Shopaholic at Downtown East with my classmate, Farah.  Worth every penny! I cried 6 times and laughed my ass off 40 times. I have read almost all of Sophie Kinsella’s books(including her latest, Do You Remember Me?, was pleasantly delighted to stumbled upon the book at TP library last year) and I had to catch the movie! Plus, Rebecca Bloomswood (Isla Fisher) looked so stylish and so put together, I almost felt like I was  flipping through a fashion magazine. I like!

A few days after that, i went to catch a movie again, with the same person at the same cinema. It wasnt planned, we met at school for some school stuff and decided to watch a movie. We watched Jackie Chan’s Shinjuku Incident. Ok la not bad.

 And spreading some love is Siti. She got engaged and I was more than happy to attend her ceremony. Having known the couple since the first time they knew each other, I was definitely delighted.All of us are counting the days till her wedding. Dont wait long2!

After filling our empty stomache with Nasi Briyani and a few delicious brownies, Shaz, Fika and I left and headed to Coffee Bean at Tamp. We spent around 3 hours chatting about everything and probably on every single person we know. Ni la kalau da lame tk jumpe, mcm2 crite eh? Thanks Fika for the photos!

p/s : my mate is a bit tembel. Ade white thing and  it has always been at the same spot. My dad said I have to go doctor and have it popped or else it will always reappear. I decided to play doctor and dabbed(with some careful force) it with tissue hoping it would pop. But so far, no such luck.
